The Sindh police chief briefed the province’s chief minister on the recovery of a sizeable cache of weapons that was found buried in a garbage dump in the city’s Old Clifton area on Thursday.
The chief minister appreciated the police’s action and directed the IGP to investigate the matter thoroughly. Over the course of the day, there were media reports that the weapons were found from the house of former fisheries chief, Nisar Morai, who is known to be a close associate of former president Asif Ali Zardari. However, no official confirmed the report.
